The ongoing political unrest in Pakistan intensified on Monday as hundreds of pro-government protestors took to the streets, calling for the resignation of the country's top judge.
The protesters were outraged by the judge's decision to release former Prime Minister Imran Khan from arrest.
Khan, who was ousted from power in April, faced additional legal cases upon his return to court.
Imran Khan's arrest last Tuesday sparked political crisis and led to widespread protests by his supporters across cities.
However, the Supreme Court's chief justice deemed his arrest unlawful, resulting in Khan's subsequent release and the granting of various bail applications.
Khan, on the other hand, dismisses the charges against him as politically motivated. His opposition to the military and claims of their involvement in politics have contributed to the escalating political climate in Pakistan.
Khan's arrest occurred shortly after he publicly accused the military of plotting an assassination attempt against him.
