The arrest of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has triggered violent unrest across the country.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party on Thursday accused the government of arresting its senior leader, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and two other leaders.
PTI alleges that the arrests of senior leaders are politically motivated.
The arrests have fueled deadly unrest in the country as protesters have stormed military buildings and ransacked the residence of a top army general.
The federal government has also deployed the army to help restore order and troops have reached the capital city of Islamabad.
Khan was arrested by the country's anti-corruption agency, which has aggravated instability in the country grappling with a severe economic crisis and a delay to an International Monetary Fund bailout.
The violence that erupted after his arrest has left at least five people dead.
