Pandemonium As BRT Bus Kills Dispatch Rider In Lagos

Residents of Surulere area of Lagos State have vented their anger on the Lagos government and a BRT driver after the latter knocked down a dispatch rider.

The dispatch rider was knocked down by a BRT bus in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos State on Thursday, March 18th, 2021.

Although details about the incident are sketchy his colleagues have been thrown into mourning after the ugly incident.

A colleague simply identified as Joseph urged customers to "please reduce the pressure you put on us, what we do is same-day delivery; these are things you can’t try with FedEx and Co, we don’t fly nor do we own the road.

"Lagos roads are not predictable! please don’t rush us.

"May his soul rest in peace"

As of the time of filing this report, authorities are yet to react to the issue.

Meanwhile, recall on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, a similar incident occurred along Cement bus-stop, Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, after one of the buses fatally hit a commercial motorcyclist.

The deceased, Gbenga Adeniyi was said to have been hit by the BRT bus while plying the corridor and died on the spot.
