A dispute arose between several local youths and the Adigbe Police division of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State on Tuesday evening.
The encounter was captured on camera and a video of it was posted on Twitter.
The video showed how the crowd of onlookers grew tense as the police officers engaged the youth in physical combat while firing several shots to frighten them.

The Adigbe Police Station's DPO could not be reached as of the time of this report to corroborate the event.
In addition, the Ogun State So-Safe Corp caught a renowned Ogun cultist trying to rob a person at Abule Ekan, Giwa, along the Ijoko Road in the Ifo Local Government Area.
