Participants At AMVCA May Have Been Exposed To Coronavirus -

 

The Lagos State Commissioner For Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, has called on participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on March 14, at Eko Hotels, to observe self-isolation as they may have been exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19). 

Allnews reported that popular journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, had revealed that a famous Nigerian Celebrity tested positive for coronavirus pandemic. 

Abayomi, who made the disclosure through his official Twitter handle, said that the attendees may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos State and are most likely to have been exposed to coronavirus infection.

Earlier, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, reportedly tested positive to coronavirus.

According to sources, Kyari tested positive for the virus on Monday. 

Abba Kyari Kyari had travelled to Germany on Saturday, March 7th to meet with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion programme.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Tuesday confirmed two new cases of Coronavirus in the country.

According to NCDC, the Lagos and Ogun confirmed one case each, making it a total of 42 cases.

It says one is of a returning traveler, while the second is a contact of a previously confirmed case.
