The Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Ogun State has been commended for ensuring seamless passage of bills seeking change of name from Egbado North and Egbado South Local Government Councils.
The commendation was given by the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo.
Oluomo gave the commendation at the Assembly Complex, Abeokuta. while presiding over the plenary after resumption from a recess.
He maintained that the Conference of Speakers displayed unity of purpose in changing the name to Yewa North and Yewa South Local Government Councils at the just concluded Fifth Alteration of the nation’s constitution.
The Speaker while congratulating the residents of the local government areas noted that the change which was long over-due, would further sustain the unique identities of the local government areas.
