Nigerian musician Patoranking has finally delivered the goods that his fans have been clamouring for.
His latest track ‘Abobi’ has been met with an outpouring of excitement and enthusiasm on social media.
The snippet he had dropped earlier had already generated a buzz and now that the full version is out, fans are hailing it as one of the best songs he has ever produced.
Directed by Dammy Twitch, the accompanying music video has also been praised for its striking visuals and powerful message.
Patoranking uses the song to address a number of pressing societal issues, including police brutality, inter-neighbourhood wars, and tribal conflicts.
By doing so, he hopes to remind not just Nigerians or Africans but the world at large that we are one people and that our struggles are interconnected.
‘Abobi’ is just the second track from Patoranking's forthcoming album, which is still in the works.
