While receiving the decampee, Gubana called on him to canvas support for the ruling APC to ensure the party's victory in the forthcoming general elections.

He expressed optimism that the APC would win the 2023 election at all levels in the state.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson to the deputy governor, Hussaini Mai Suleh in a statement.

In his remark, Siminti assured that he would work for the success of the party.

According to Suleh, the former PDP ward chairman further promised to bring the remaining PDP supporters at Damagum B to "benefit from the dividends of democracy under the able leadership of Hon Mai Mala Buni".
