The PDP Governors’ Forum has congratulated some of its members who received President Muhammadu Buhari's distinguished national honour, Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

This was said in a statement released by CID Maduabum, the director-general of the forum on Tuesday in Abuja.

Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Darius Ishaku of Taraba, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State were among those identified by Maduabum as members.

He said that throughout his two terms as governor of Delta State, Okowa transformed the region's business, economic, social, and political scene.

He added that Okowa also established himself as a senator and an administrator par excellence.

“He has raised the bar politically with his excellent performance as the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, in the 2023 general elections.”

He continued by saying that Ishaku, the two-term governor of Taraba, had provided flawless services that had a tremendous impact on the state's residents lives.

“He had also served at the federal level as a Minister, a position he held with distinction. He is currently a Senatorial candidate of the PDP.

“Ugwuanyi is a serving and high-performing governor of Enugu State where he has enthroned peace, stability, social and economic transformation of the state.

“He was a long-standing member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of its Marine Transport Committee.

"He is currently on the ballot for the senate on the platform of the PDP,” he said.

Maduabum stated that the forum joined the three governors' loved ones to celebrate the happy occasion and to wish them well in all of their next endeavours.
