The caucus of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in the National Assembly has expressed strong concerns over what it described as the ineptitude and inability of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led the government to curb the drift to anarchy in the country.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday after a joint caucus meeting, the Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, said that from 2015 till date, rather than finding a solution to the security situation in the country, the APC-led Federal Government has rather expanded the security challenges.

The PDP lawmakers suggested that immediate steps should be taken by governments at all levels to set up proper security infrastructure either in the mode of state police and other constitutional reforms to stop the worsening security problems.

Senator Abaribe further explained that the caucus has taken note and will continue to take note of the constitutional breaches happening at this time by the APC-led government and will at the appropriate time utilize all constitutional methods and measures available after consultations with its colleagues to do the needful in order to save the country from collapsing.

The caucus also expressed its opposition to the continued superintendent of the National Identification Number (NIN) registration by someone whom the country has lost confidence in.
