The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State is mourning the victims of bandit attacks on some communities in Tangaza and Gwadabawa Local Government Areas of the state.
The state PDP Chairman, Bello Goronyo expressed their sadness in a statement on Monday issued by the party’s spokesman, Hassan Sanyinnawal on Monday.
He said the attacks are callous and dastardly.
“As a party, we want to express our heartfelt condolences to the immediate families of those who lost their lives and pray Allah to forgive the deceased and give the families the fortitude to bear the losses.
“More so, we appeal to the Sokoto State Government to take necessary measures to address insecurity in the state and also assist the families of the victims,” he added.
Gunmen in an attack on Saturday killed about 30 persons in Sokoto.
