PDP Reps Primary: Banky W Emerges Victorious In Election Rerun

Banky W has been vindicated as he has emerged victorious in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary rerun for the Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives ticket in the 2023 general election.

The singer had been declared the winner of the election which was held on May 22 but controversy arose shortly after when reports revealed that the opposite was the case.

His camp had reacted to the 'defeat', calling the result false and alleging that there was manoeuvring involved.

Now, the latest development reveals that the record label boss had a landslide victory, polling 24 votes out of 29 votes cast by delegates at the primary rerun held in Lagos on Monday.

Banky's opponent, Sam Aiboni, got only five votes.

The singer uploaded a video on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to his victory. He added that Aiboni was not his opponent but his brother.
