PDP Senator Loses Primary Election In Ebonyi

A senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, Michael Ama Nnachi, has lost his bid to return to the senate.

He was was defeated by the Member representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives, Honourable Linus Abaa Okorie during the party's primary held on Saturday.

Hon Okorie polled 132 votes to defeat the incumbent, Sen Nnachi who garnered 35 votes.

The total number of accredited voters for the election were 169 but 167 valid votes were cast because 2 votes were invalid.
