In line with the Commandant General’s innovative measures towards adequate care and the paramount importance of the welfare of the personnel of the Corps, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Osun State Command has organised a sensitisation workshop for the 2019 intakes.

The workshop is themed 'Secure Your Future Now'.

The State Commandant, Agboola Adisa Sunday in his address noted that prioritisation of personnel welfare informed the establishment of the Cooperative Investment and Credit Society (CICS) Ltd to encourage a saving habit, provide access to affordable loan facilities and easy procurement of commodities.

The Commandant who stated this on Wednesday added that efforts are being geared towards giving personnel the best welfare package as they serve their country.

The Commandant, represented by his Deputy Adeoti Olayinka Joseph (DCC), urged the 2019 intakes to abide by the bye-law of the CICS Limitee as there are legal consequences for their acts and omissions.

"While the welfare benefits of the CICS Ltd are available for members to benefit from, prompt deduction and discipline is important to keep the society running and away from debts."

The Commandant urged the Intakes to follow the provisions of the bye-law as the Disciplinary Committee would be constituted promptly to impose sanctions on defaulters.

In conclusion, the Commandant reiterated that the Corps would not hesitate to punish all forms of financial embarrassment.

The President, NSCDC CICS Limited, Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Ogundoyin Ayodeji welcomed the new intakes into the society and promised them excellent service delivery.

General Secretary of the Society, Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) Adegboyega Tunde Yusuf enlightened the Officers on the bye-law and stated that those who may be bent on frustrating the laws of the Society will definitely face sanctions.
