Peter Okoye Reveals What He Is Scared Of, Says It's Not Death [Video]

Singer Peter Okoye a.k.a. Mr P of the renewed boy group 'P-Square' has said that he is not scared of death but is only afraid of poverty.

In a recent interview with actress Nancy Isime, the singer stated that he is scared of being broke because he knows what poverty is like.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Okoye said that there was a point in his childhood when he lived in a one-bedroom with his parents and siblings.

He stated that they had to divide the room with a curtain.

Speaking further, Okoye said that the landlord sold the compound and a bulldozer was brought to tear down the house with his family still in.

“I'm not afraid of death. The only thing I'm afraid of in this life is poverty, is being broke. I've tasted it before,” Okoye said.

“I've been in our house with my parents before, a bulldozer came and tore down the house. We were living in a boy's quarter.

"Me, my mom, the whole family — six boys and two girls — living in a one-bedroom apartment. We had to divide the room with a curtain.

“The landlord had sold the compound, we were trying to plead, they gave us some time. The next thing, we were home and a bulldozer came and tore down the house.”
