#PeterObiAt61: Nigerians Shower Praises On Presidential Aspirant On His Birthday

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, turns 61 today and Twitter is agog with fans celebrating the former Anambra State governor.

Born on July 19, 1961, Peter Obi first ventured into business and banking before pursuing his political ambition.

He served as the governor of Anambra State twice and first declared his intention to join the presidential race on March 24, 2022, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Obi later announced his withdrawal from the PDP in May and disclosed that he was pitching his tent with the Labour Party instead.

Amassing an impressive number of followers within a relatively short time and regarded as a social media sensation, he has drawn both admiration and criticism and is looking to do the seemingly impossible in the 2023 election.
