An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan has sentenced Isaac Dumabara to a month imprisonment without an option of fine.
23-year-old Dumabara was sentenced on Wednesday by Magistrate S. A. Adesina after being found guilty of stealing one pot of stew and meat worth N40,000 from a restaurant.
He committed the act at Pleasure Summit Restaurant on Magara Road, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
Police Prosecutor, Sikiru Ibrahim said Damubara also stole three gas cylinders, a stabiliser, and a pair of Adidas shoes.
Ibrahim further told the court that the defendant also stole a 42-inch television worth N200,000.
Meanwhile, the offences contravened the provisions of Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
