The erupting Taal volcano has caused 53,000 people to leave their homes, as the Filipino officials cautioned that those living close to the volcano take a leave as the danger of more eruptions still looms.

Over half a million people were said to be in harm's way; people living in the Batangas and Cavite provinces were evacuated from their homes, while some elected to stay back and watch over their homes despite severe warnings.
Police and other emergency agencies have rifled through the towns affected by the eruptions to ensure that no resident is left behind.
