Abba Kyari, the late chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, was on Saturday buried in Abuja, according to Islamic rites.
Allnews reports that Kyari died on Friday, April 17 after spending 25 days in isolation, over coronavirus complications.
He had travelled to Germany on Saturday, March 7th to meet with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion programme.
The body of the deceased Chief of Staff arrived the Defence House in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday.
He was laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to Garba Shehu, Buhari’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and publicity, “there will be no such ceremonies as condolence visits. Well-meaning friends, family members and the general public are encouraged to pray for the repose of Abba Kyari’s soul.”
