The player posted a moving video on his social media accounts confirming that it’s time to ‘close the circle’ with the Catalan club.
Pique failed to reveal where his next destination would be but did close the video with an ‘I’ll be back’ message.
He has come under heavy criticism and booing by fans after his defensive howler against Inter Milan in the Champions League which some could say cost Barca the match.
Pique also just ended a decade plus marriage with Shakira over infidelity claims and he thinks it is the best time to call it quits in football.
