Herders in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State have suffered an attack from terrorists who killed several of them and abducted others.
The incident was confirmed by the Military Special Task Force 'Operation Safe Haven'.
The Spokesman of the Military Special Task Force of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ishaku Takwa, who spoke on the tragic development disclosed that the officers trailed the bandits during which bodies of some of the victims were recovered in the bush.
Elaborating on the attack, the Plateau State chairman of the Miyetti Allah Breeders Association (MACBAN) Mohammad Nura told journalists in Jos that about herders were killed and 19 missing.
Some of those missing are feared to have been whisked away by the terrorists and others were able to escape, leaving their cows behind.
