Istifanus Gyang
The senator representing Plateau North Senatorial district, Barrister Istifanus Gyang, has suffered a setback in his bid to return to the upper legislative chamber on the PDP platform.
The development comes as PDP primaries continue in Plateau to determine flag bearers in respective positions in the state.
Gyang lost his return ticket to a two-term member of the House of Representatives representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Honorable Simon Mwadkwon.
The results had Sen Gyang scoring 99 votes while Hon. Simon Mwadkwon pulled 119 votes to be declared the winner in the early hours of May 23, 2022.
