Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly on Thursday suspended all the chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas of the state over allegations of corruption.
The House members suspended the LG bosses during their plenary presided over by the Speaker, Abok Ayuba.
Their suspension followed a motion moved by the lawmaker representing Langtang North -North constituency, Pirfa Tyem.
The motion bothered on financial impropriety levelled against the LG officials through a petition to the House and communication to stop the lawmaker by the state Governor, Caleb Mutfwang,
Ayuba, who announced their suspension after the motion was passed, directed the council officials to hand over all government properties in their possession to the Director of Personnel.
This is as Management investigation against them commences into the allegations against them.
