Diego Simeone has responded to a study stating that the average Spaniard who has sex 56 times a year would not play in his Atletico Madrid team.

When the presenter mentioned this figure, Simeone quipped, "How many? 56... 56 a year... How many are a month? Four a month? Four a month, no...

"With four times a month, you can't play in my team."

The humorous remark elicited uproarious laughter from the studio.

When pressed for a more realistic number, Simeone suggested, "15 a month? I'm not going to say... but we have a good average."

The witty response showcased the Argentine manager's playful side amidst discussions about serious football matters.

Simeone 53, who has been at the helm of Atletico Madrid since 2011, has guided the team to at least a third-place finish in LaLiga this season, with one game remaining.

While the manager remains committed to fulfilling the remaining year of his managerial contract at Atletico, he emphasized that contract discussions are not currently a priority.

"At the moment, the priority is not my contract. If we have to talk about it, we will do it later when Miguel [Atletico CEO Miguel Ángel Gil] believes it is the most appropriate time. The priority is another matter."
