Police Arrest 18 Naked People At Private Party Amid COVID-19

 

Despite the lockdown issued to contain coronavirus, the police in Kenya have arrested no lesser than 18 people caught naked at a private party.

Allnews understands that the party-goers who were totally unclad were arrested on Sunday, in Hurliqueen Courts apartment at the Jamhuri area of Nairobi,  the country's capital. 

According to the police, the partygoers are between the ages of 14 and 30.

Speaking on the arrest, the area police boss, Lucas Ogara said the 18 were detained at Kilimani police cells, will be arraigned and face various charges under the Covid-19 public health laws.

“They were recording a video when we arrived there. They were in a one-bedroom house,” he said.

Among those arrested were two 14-year-old boys, 10 men and 4 women aged between 18 and 28-years-old, a man and a woman each 30-years -old.

Reports say the suspects will be placed under mandatory quarantine for 14 days at their own cost, and thereafter get arraigned in court to face charges.
