Police Arrest Kidnappers Disguised As DSS Officers

The Imo State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers identified as Kingsley Ogugwo and Ibrahim Mohammed in Apani Community Ikwerre LGA of Rivers state.

The suspects were alleged to have disguised as personnel of the State Security Service to kidnap one Musa Inusa at Umuapu Ohaji/Egbema of the state while he was traveling.

Part of the items recovered by SARS Operatives at Ohaji Annex was the oxblood Toyota Camry with Reg. No. FST371EC and the sum of N37,500 belonging to the victim while other items like black stick which served as a riffle gun and the victim’s Infinix phone.

The Imo state Police Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed that the suspects have confessed to their crime and after investigation, they would soon be charged to court to face the gravity of their offense.

Meanwhile, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Isaac O. Akinmoyede, assured residents of top security.
