Police Arrests Ikirun Armed Robbers

Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have apprehended three suspected armed robbers, who specialise in trailing Point Of Sales (POS) operators from their shops to their houses at Ikirun and then rob them of their money and valuables.

Among the gang of three men of the underworld is Ibukun Ajayi, aged 26 and Gbenga Opeyemi, aged 20, who reside in the High Court area, Adedeji Estate of Ikirun.

Items recovered from the suspects included two Bajaj motorcycles, two double-barrelled guns and one Jackknife.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Yemisi Opalola while confirming the arrests stated that all the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigations.

The police spokesperson appealed to residents to support the police by providing the timely information needed to rid the state of crime and criminal elements.
