Police Arrests Runaway Kuje Prisoner In Kano

The 25 year old was arrested following intelligence reports in Kano.

Kano State Police says it has rearrested a runaway convict, Abubakar Muhammad Badarawa suspected to have escaped Kuje correctional facility, Abuja.

 According to SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the state police spokesman on Friday, intelligence reports on September 23, 2022 pointed to the location of the 25 year old convict.

According to him, Kano Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Lawan ordered a silent pursuit that resulted in the subsequent arrest of the criminal at Rangaza of Ungoggo local government in the state.

He affirmed that the convict is now in custody.

The PPRO then, in behalf of the commissioner, solicited prayers and support from them.

He urged residents to always report suspicious movements around them or suspicious unknown faces to the nearest police station.
