Police in Edo State have confirmed the attack on the convoy of Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International.
The convoy of the cleric came under heavy attack at Waraka road in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The spokesman of the State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor confirmed the incident in Benin City.
He said three police men lost their lives in the process, with two civilian drivers and one female domestic staff.
Nwabuzor disclosed that the Auchi Police Division swung into action and gunned down one of the hoodlums.
He noted that one of the vehicles used by the assailants was recovered in the process even as search is ongoing for one domestic staff who is currently missing.
He assured that Apostle Suleman is alive and well.
