Police Confirm Burning Of Court, LG In Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the attack on Idemili North Local Government secretariat in Ogidi and a Magistrate Court in the state but said the attack was officers have arrived the scene to restore normalcy.

The police spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, said this on Monday morning while interacting with our correspondent.

He said the hoodlums attacked the area on Sunday night cauing havoc.

According to reports, the hoodlums invaded the secreteriuat and magistrate court on Sunday night, burning down all files, properties in the secretariat, including the secretariat building.

Confirming the news, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga said: “Yes, the incident is true, and our men  have been deployed there to restore normalcy.

“Right now, the fire has been put off, and calm has been restored to the area."
