The Plateau State Police command has confirmed the abduction of Reverend Bung Dong in Ganawuri community of Riyom local government area of the state by gunmen.
The confirmation was made by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Alfred Alabo.
According to him, Rev. Dong was abducted on Sunday night alongside another person identified as James Mann.
However, Mann who is the younger brother to the Chief Judge in the state, Justice David Mann was rescued by the vigilante group in the community.
Alabo added that the command had already deployed operatives on an arrest and rescue mission.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the President of the Atten Youths Movement, Song Moro disclosed that the abductors demanded the payment of N20 million ransom.
Moro added that the community had witnessed the abduction of four persons recently.
