The State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the abduction on Tuesday, adding that the Police had intensified efforts to get the victims released.
The Police spokesperson said, “Efforts have been intensified to get them released, as well as arrest the abductors.”
On Monday, unknown gunmen stormed the quarry site located along Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan road and kidnapped the victims.

A source in the area said the incident occurred at Dalli village (Binu Quarry), along the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road.
He further added that the case had been reported at the Idi Ayunre police station.
As at Tuesday evening, a source in the area said the abductors were yet to contact the family.
