Police Detain Four Officers For Allegedly Killing Vigilante

The Edo State Police Command has detained four of its officers over the death of one vigilante member, Ikponwonsa Aikpitanyi.

It was learnt that the vigilante member was trying to stop a woman from disposing refuse on the road before police officers who tried to intervene in the matter allegedly shot the 27-year-old to death.

Commissioner of police, Abutu Yaro ordered the arrest and detention of the officers after the incident that happened at Obaze Street, off Ewah Road, Benin city.
