Police Kill Five Linked To Serial Killings In Durban Shootout.

Five suspects were reportedly killed in a shootout with members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday, April 1, 2023. 

According to SABC News, a South African news media house, during the exchange of fire, an officer of the SAPS was wounded.

 The incident took place in Glenwood.

According to reports, the police officer was struck in the chest.

The "serial killings" that have been going on in the region are said to be the handy work of the suspects.

The National SAPS spokesman Brigadier Athlenda Mathe reported that National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola and Minister of Police Bheki Cele were on their way to the crime scene in Durban at 17:06.
