Police invite BBNaija's Phyna over wig-renting controversy

The wig-renting controversy involving Big Brother Naija season 7 winner, Phyna has taken an unexpected turn as the police have invited the celebrity.

Phyna allegedly rented a wig from a hair vendor and refused to return it after the rental period expired.

AllNews Nigeria reports that the vendor called her out for failing on her part of the agreement. 

The reality show winner, who initially denied the allegations admitted to renting the wig, noting she returned it after being called out but the vendor rejected it.

She further stated that she held on to the wig afterwards because the hair vendor did more damage to her than the price she rented the wig. 

Phyna explained that the vendor came to her residence with some police officer after which a letter was left behind in her absence. 

“Yesterday, my younger sister called me and said I’ve visitors in my house. I asked who they were and she said two policemen, the hairstylist and one woman. I asked who the woman was but she said she doesn’t know the woman.

“And they dropped a letter. Because it’s from the police I want to know what to do. It reads, ‘This is the Nigeria Police. Invitation to the police.’ They now put my name, my address. Then it continued, ‘From the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu.’ I don’t know where Ogudu is, but I will find out,” she explained.
