Police Kill Bandit, Rescue 9 Kidnap Victims In Kaduna

On Saturday, the Kaduna State Police Command said its operatives raided bandits hideouts in the Sabon-Birnin Forest in the Igabi Local Government Area of the kaduna state, rescuing nine kidnap victims in the process.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jalige, the Public Relations Officer of the command said in a statement, that the operatives also killed one bandit and arrested two others during the raid. Adding that the arrested ones were taken into custody for further investigation.

"On December 31, 2021, operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the Force Intelligence Bureau and the Special Tactical Squad of the Force Headquarters, Abuja attacked a bandits’ camp in the forest of Sabon Birni village."

“The mission resulted in one bandit being killed, as many others escaped with bullet wounds.

He further added that the rescued victims have reunited with their families after undergoing medical check up at the police medical facility in the state.
