Police Nabs Notorious Cultist Okoilu In Osun

Rasheed Hamed aka Rasheed Okoilu, a notorious Ede-based cultist and serial killer has been arrested by the police.

The Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola has also confirmed the arrest.

In response to a message sent to her, Opalola stated that the wanted criminal was arrested on Saturday night by police operatives.

The Osun State Police Command had in March declared Okoilu wanted.

In the statement declaring him wanted, the Police stated that Okoilu was wanted for the crimes of murder, arson, ritual killing, armed robbery, rape and kidnapping.

The statement also added that he has been causing mayhem in Ede and the entire state.

Trouble began for Okoilu after he was reportedly fingered in the deaths of both a Higher National Diploma graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Hassan Adedeji and a commercial motorcyclist.

The deaths caused days of violent demonstration in Ede as students of the higher institution took to the streets of the ancient town in protest.
