Police Nabs Six Drug Dealers In Abuja, Hands Them Over To NDLEA

The Nigerian Police Force in Abuja has arrested six suspected drug dealers in the capital city.

The suspects were arrested by operatives of the force in a tactical sweep operation.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson of the command in Abuja, DSP Josephine Adeh.

Adeh identified the suspects as one 27-year-old Suleiman Abdulrahman Bello, 35-year-old Jonathan Joseph, 22-year-old Suleiman Shamsuddeen and 29-year-old Emeka Offor.

Others are Tanko Abdullahi and Luka Ishiaku; 20 and 25 years old respectively.

She added that the suspects were arrested in possession of large quantities of different Cannabis Sativa.

She further disclosed that the suspects revealed their experience in the illicit business for a long time.  

Adeh said that the force is intensifying investigation to arrest more people in connection with the illicit business.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been transferred to the custody of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). 

Adeh further mentioned that while the force frowns at such crimes, it won't relent in bringing perpetrators to book, urging for support from society with useful information.
