Police Rescue 6-Year-Old Girl Locked Up For Months In Osogbo

The Osun State Police Command has rescued a six-year-old girl locked up for months by her guardian at the Isle-Osun area of Osogbo.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, declared that the culprit, Olanrewaju Adenike had been arrested.

“The Osun Police Command has arrested one Olanrewaju Adenike for locking up a six-year-old girl and maltreated her for months. The girl was rescued at Isale-Osun Area of Osogbo.

“She was locked in an abandoned apartment at the back of her guardian’s house without feeding and care. But now, the rescued girl has been taken to the hospital for the proper treatment while investigation goes on to find the little girl's biological parents,’’ she said.
