Police Rescues UNIABUJA Victims , Suspects Arrested 

Kidnapped University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) victims have been rescued by the FCT Police command.

Recall that AllNews Nigeria earlier reported how bandits where said to have abducted six person from the UNIABUJA quarters including a Proffessor.

According to reports, the abductors contacted family of the victims to demand N300 million ransom.

But on Friday morning, Dr. Abubakar Kari, an official of the school, announced that the victims had been rescued with no ransom paid.

Kari, said, ”Our prayers have been accepted. Please join me in thanking God Almighty. I will provide you more details later, just to let you know that our UofA family is a happier family today with the resolution of this callous and wicked kidnap of our people,” the post read.

“As I write, we are on the road to fetch them and get them immediate medical attention to ensure they are sound and strong!

“Our brilliant and indefatigable Safety Unit and security outfit must be commended. They are deserving of superior award!

"We are grateful to the team along with the military, the police, the DSS and all who laboured to make this happen. Our traditional rulers in FCT stood by us and prayed for us and we are grateful to all of them.”

DSP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, also confirmed the release of the victims but did not go into details.

She said, “The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the University of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies. More details coming soon,” she said in a statement.
