'Politics Is Not War’ - Fani-Kayode Speaks After Criticism Received For Pictures With Isa Pantami

A former minister of Aviation in Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode says “politics is about bridge-building, regardless of your differences”.

According to Fani-Kayode in a tweet on his verified handle on Saturday, “you can be friends with your political adversary and still disagree”.

‘FFK’s tweet comes a day after majority of social media users lashed out at him for posing and smiling with Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, whom he not long ago described as “a cold-blooded beast” in a widely published opinion piece. The duo met on Friday in Kano during the wedding ceremony of Yusuf Buhari, the only son of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Buba Galadima with Ahmad Lawan, GEJ with PMB, GEJ with VP & Atiku with PMB. Politics is about bridge-building regardless of your differences. It is not war. You can be friends with ur political adversary& still disagree. It's called politics without bitterness & being civilised,” Fani-Kayode wrote.
