Poly Ibadan Guarantees Peace, Safety After Gunfight

The administration of The Polytechnic Ibadan has guaranteed the safety of students and the restoration of peace on the institution's campus after the recent gunfight between cults.

The gunfight between the cults lasted about 20 minutes which made the people on campus scurry to save their lives.

As reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Soladoye Adewole, the Public Relations Officer said security agents were working tirelessly to make sure the campus is peaceful again.

“We are liaising with all the security agencies and shortly everything will be put under control. The academic calendar is not affected in any way and nothing will affect it,’’ he guaranteed.

The shootout reportedly affected the usual activities on campus and caused harm to some who were on campus at the time, including a Toyta Corolla car driver who lost control and drove up the roof of a junior quarters' building.
