Controversial Nigerian singer Portable is currently dragging fast-rising artiste Spyro after the latter made a comment about not writing a song for the former.
During an interview on Cool FM, Spyro was asked about artistes he would not write a song for.
In response to the question, Spyro mentioned Portable, clarifying that it was not due to any personal issues but rather because their musical styles and paths do not align.
“Not because I have an issue with him but because our paths don’t cross and our kind of music don’t align; it’s Portable.
“It can’t work. He wouldn’t even be able to deliver the kind of music that I will write for him because it is not his style,” Spyro said.
Spyro went on to acknowledge Portable’s talent, saying, “I think Portable is good, funny enough.
“It is intentional when people do the kind of music Portable does. It is pretty much intentional.”
In a swift response, Portable took to his Instagram page to express his dissatisfaction with Spyro’s comments.
In a video post, Portable lashed out at Spyro, using his trademark style of delivering his words with insults.
He criticized Spyro for rejecting potential features and collaborations, suggesting that Spyro has not achieved enough success in the industry to turn down such opportunities.
In the video, Portable questioned Spyro’s accomplishments, asking how much money he has made and how many shows he has performed.
He also boasted about his popularity and success, claiming to have more hits, performed more shows, and collaborated with numerous artists.
Portable concluded his video by offering to provide Spyro with a chorus to help boost his popularity, mocking Spyro for having only one song that cannot be easily mimed.
