Premier League Round Up: Crystal Place Brush Aside Aston Villa, Fulham Stun Brentford

Crystal Palace earned a 3-1 over Aston Villa courtesy of a brace from Wilfred Zaha and a goal from Philippe Mateta at Selhurst Park.

Ollie Watkins gave Aston Villa an early lead in the fifth minute before Wilfred Zaha restored parity two minutes after.

Zaha restored the hosts' lead from the spot in the 58th minute from the penalty spot after Lucas Digne was penalised for handball. 

Philippe Mateta wrapped up the victory with a fine strike to hand Crystal Palace their first Premier League win of the season. 

Everton and Nottingham played out a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for Nottingham Forest nine minutes from time, and Demarai Gray rescued a point for Everton in the 88th minute.

Newly promoted, Fulham produced a stunning performance to beat Brentford 3-2.

Fulham raced to a 2-0 lead in the first twenty minutes thanks to goals from Bobby Decordova-Reid and Joao Palhinha.

Christian Norgaard reduced the deficit for Brentford on the stroke of halftime.

Ivan Toney brought Brentford back into the game in the 71st minute.

Aleksandar Mitrovic's late thumping header handed Fulham the maximum points to preserve their unbeaten start to the season.

Southampton came from behind to beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium. 

James Maddison scored a sublime free kick to give the hosts the lead just before the hour mark.

Che Adams brought Southampton back into the game after he finished from close range when Leicester City defenders were caught napping.

He handed Southampton the maximum points with an acrobatic finish to earn their first win in the Premier League since April.
