President Muhammadu Buhari has reached Borno State in Northeastern Nigeria on a one-day official visit.
The President who arrived on Thursday at Nigerian Air Force wing of the Maiduguri International Airport at about 12.15pm is expected to commission some developmental projects in the state.
The President was received by Governor Babagana Zulum, his Deputy, Usman Kadafur, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umaru Farouk, vice presidental candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Kashim Shettima, members of national and state houses of assembly, and some other top government officials,as reported by Daily Trust.
He proceeded to the sites of the projects to be commissioned, including Teachers Quarters Village, housing units in Molai.
Borno is one of the three most hit states in the Northern region by Boko Haram insurgency, a disaster it is yet to recover from.
