President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his wishes to the former military president of Nigeria, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida ahead of his 81st birthday tomorrow, 17th August 2022.
The president sent his wishes in a statement by his Media aide, Femi Adesina on Tuesday.
Buhari noted that Babangida had played vital role in the development of the country.
According to the statement, "President Buhari joins family, friends and associates of the former leader in celebrating another year, heralded by God’s benevolence and mercies.
"The President notes the historical role of the former military President in shaping the political and economic development of the country, and his counsels to upcoming political leaders.
"President Buhari prays for longer life, good health and strength for the octogenarian."
