President Muhammadu Buhari is set to depart for the United Kingdom on Monday for a medical checkup.
The development was revealed by the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who made the announcement on social media.
Speaking via his official Twitter account on Monday, Adesina disclosed that Buhari will return to Nigeria in the second week of November 2022.
"President Buhari leaves for London October 31, 2022, for routine medical checkup. He returns to the country 2nd week of November, 2022", he wrote.

President Buhari had earlier cancelled his scheduled inauguration of the new Technology and Innovation complex of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to preside over an emergency meeting of the National Security Council.
The meeting which took place on Monday comes amid concerns over warnings over an impending terror attack in the Federal Capital Territory.
