The President of the Squash Federation of Africa, Hany Hamouda is dead.
News of his demise was shared with AllNews on Friday by Femi Ajagbe, a former President of the Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF).
Hamouda was said to have died of COVID-19.
"With heavy heart but with total submission to God Almighty, l announce the home call of my friend and President of Squash Federation of Africa (I was his Vice President for two terms) Engr. Hany Hamouda from Egypt Squash Federation," Ajagbe's message reads.
"He died of COVID-19 today.
"May God rest his soul."

Hamouda was a leader of squash in North Africa.
As of 15 January 2021, more than 93.2 million cases have been confirmed, with more than 2 million deaths attributed to COVID-19.
