President Tinubu Announces El-Rufai's Replacement As Minister Nominee

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced former governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai's replacement as Minister Nominee from Kaduna State.

The replacement was identified as Balarabe Abbas in a letter sent to the Senate by the president. 

The replacement was announced on Tuesday by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The president equally sought for the confirmation of two other nominees identified as Jamila Bio and Olawale Olawande. 

While Abbas has not been assigned any portfolio, Bio and Olawande have been assigned portfolios of Minister of Youths and Minister of State for Youths respectively.

 Abbas had served under the El-Rufai-led administration as the Secretary to the State Government. 

He also served as the chairman of the transition committee of the state in 2015 and served as the vice-chairman of the committee in 2019.

The nominee equally served as the chairman of the 65-man transition committee in preparation of the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Uba Sani in Kaduna.
