President Tinubu's Request For 20 Special Advisers Approved By Senate

President Tinubu's Request For 20 Special Advisers Approved

President Bola Tinubu's request for the appointment of 20 special advisers has been approved by the Senate.

The approval was given on Tuesday after it was read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.

Per a report from The Cable, the names of the prospective special advisers were not listed by the president.

The request was given speedy approval, with the Lawan stating that it was of “utmost urgency” that the president has a team to work with.

“Because there is no name for special advisers we will just approve it from here.

“We feel that that this is something of utmost urgency”, he said.

President Tinubu recently confirmed the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff after continued speculations on the issue.

The confirmation was made known last Friday in a statement issued by Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House Director of Information.
